Health and safety in the workplace are a top priority at the Nordex Group. We are building a safety culture that empowers every employee and business partner to take ownership, act responsibly and protect themselves and others.
We put this into practice with global training programs that raise safety awareness and deepen technical expertise. Our academies and regional training centers in Germany, France, the USA, Spain, Tükiye, the Nordics, Eastern Europe, the UK/Ireland, Brazil, Chile, South Africa and Australia equip people to work smarter and safer with Nordex technology.
At the center is the Global Technical Academy (GTA) in Germany, our lead hub for developing innovative programs tailored to Nordex turbines and systems. All safety-related training follows Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards, ensuring high-quality, industry-compliant instruction. Using a train-the-trainer model, the GTA qualifies local trainers and links regional academies into one global learning community.
Together, academies in Germany, Türkiye, Spain, France and the USA deliver technical training across Latin America, Eastern Europe and the Nordics – with localized content for technicians and partners in Türkiye and teams in Spain that also support programs in South Africa and Australia. To match how people learn today, we use blended learning that combines classroom sessions, virtual classes, e-learning, hands-on practice and self-study. This flexible mix ensures everyone working with Nordex technology can operate safely, effectively and confidently, wherever they are in the world.

Training for subcontractors during maintenance
SAFETY IS NOT ONLY A REQUIREMENT – IT IS A SHARED COMMITMENT
Gain a solid understanding of Nordex safety expectations with training built around our Safety Together principle. All contractors working with us complete mandatory HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) modules that cover safety protocols, environmental standards and emergency procedures. Through a blended mix of digital learning and classroom sessions, we address role and project-specific needs, deepen technical knowledge and reinforce safe work practices – going beyond compliance to reduce risks and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement.
GWO Training
TRAINED TO ONE STANDARD. POWERED BY GWO.
Access GWO-standard safety training at Nordex academies, certified in Germany, Türkiye, Spain, France and the USA. As an active Global Wind Organisation member since 2019, we work with industry partners and GWO working groups to define standardized training that improves safety and productivity, supports injury-free workplaces and sets common international standards for safety training and emergency procedures in the wind industry. Germany and Türkiye currently offer GWO courses that are open to all interested participants.
