Anniversary Newsletter Edition #12: „40 Years Nordex – A Journey of Innovation and Partnership”

As we close this anniversary year, let’s take a moment to look back at the stories we’ve shared with you throughout 2025.

Our newsletter series began with Edition #1, revisiting the humble beginnings of Nordex in Denmark – a vision sketched by Flemming Pedersen and his sons on wallpaper that became the foundation for a global leader in wind energy. We celebrated milestones like the first Nordex-branded turbine (N27) in Edition #2, and in Edition #3, we explored the bold expansion into Germany and the era of megawatt-class turbines.

Edition #4 highlighted the environmental impact of our work: 600 million tons of CO₂ avoided in 40 years, while Edition #5 reflected on resilience and transformation during the roller-coaster years of the early 2000s but also the company’s development from “We’ve got the power” to “Together on the same course” with the merger with Acciona Windpower.

In Edition #6, we showcased engineering excellence with 46 different turbine models, and Edition #7 told the story of Nordex’s pioneering steps in Germany with the founder Carsten Pedersen himself, along with two of the early three German pioneers.

Edition #8 focused on service evolution – from buckets and cranes to AI-driven remote maintenance – and Edition #9 captured the voices of customers and partners, emphasizing trust and collaboration as keys to success.

Edition #10 took readers on a journey “around the Earth, to Mars and Mercury,” illustrating the incredible performance leap from the first N27 to today’s 6.X MW giants powering thousands of homes worldwide. Last but not least, in Edition#11 voices from our P&C colleagues reflected the values and vision that have shaped Nordex over four decades and the unique Nordex collaboration culture built by all current and former colleagues.
