Finland: Orders for 452 MW received in the last quarter of 2021

Nordex Group has announced two new orders for the Nordic region. The orders are the 72 MW Tolpanvaara and the 380 MW Pjelax-Böle-Kristinestad Norr wind farms, both located in the Ostrobothnia region in Finland.

Nordex received the Tolpanvaara order from the renewable energy company Enefit Green AS to supply, install and commission 13 N163/5.X wind turbines. The contract also includes a Premium service agreement for 30 years. The wind farm will be built in the Pudasjärvi municipality, situated approximately 90 km northeast from Oulu, during 2023.

The Pjelax-Böle-Kristinestad Norr cluster is the biggest order Nordex has obtained in the Finnish market until now, comprising 56 N163 wind turbines of the latest 6.X variant and a long-term Premium service contract. The cluster is the first project of the utility company Fortum and Uniper wind and solar team done in partnership with the energy company Helen. The installation is scheduled to commence in Närpes and Kristinestad municipalities near Vaasa in 2023.
