Nordex Group publishes new Environmental Product Declaration for N175/6.X

The Nordex Group is strengthening transparency in product sustainability by consistently applying Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of its products in line with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044. These analyses cover the full product life cycle, including end-of-life, and form the basis for Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) that provide standardized, externally verified sustainability data.

Building on this approach, Nordex has published a new Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its Delta4000 series flagship, the N175/6.X. Based on a German reference scenario (IEC wind class S, 115 kV grid connection), the EPD provides externally verified and comparable environmental data, supporting smarter, data-driven decisions and the ambition to continuously improve the environmental performance of Nordex technologies.

Key insights include life cycle impacts, resource use and waste generation in accordance with ISO 14025, as well as analyses of different lifetime scenarios (25, 30, and 35 years) and end-of-life options such as recycling. For a 20-year operating lifetime, the global warming potential (GWP fossil) is calculated at 12.8 g CO₂e/kWh, excluding end-of-life credits, with results depending on project-specific assumptions and tower configurations.
