The Nordex Group Training Concept
SETTING GLOBAL STANDARDS FOR SAFETY AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT
As a member of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) since 2019, Nordex helps shape international safety standards for the wind industry. In 2023, we made GWO Safety Training mandatory for all Nordex service technicians worldwide, underscoring our commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Our GWO-certified instructors bring years of field experience into our training environment, combining technical expertise with clear, calm instruction. At our state-of-the-art training centers, technicians work with life-sized simulation setups that mirror real conditions – from working at height to fire awareness and rescue scenarios. Every module is designed to ensure participants don’t just leave certified, but also prepared for the field.
We currently offer GWO-certified training at our academies in Germany and Türkiye, with plans to expand to France, Spain, and the USA, and further certification programs to follow in Poland and other strategic locations.

TECHNICAL TRAINING
GWO Technical Training covers essential competencies in hydraulics, mechanics, electrics, and bolt tightening. These modules build a solid technical foundational and ensure safe, compliant work on wind turbines.

HSE TRAINING
GWO Safety Training prepares participants to work safely in remote wind turbine environments. They learn how to perform timely rescue from heights, apply ergonomic working practices, and deliver safe and effective first aid in and around a wind turbine.
