Anniversary Newsletter Issue #9: “Whether farmer or global corporation – what do our customers and partners associate with the Nordex Group and our 40 years?”
On 17 September 2025, a very special event took place aboard the MS Koi party ship. As part of Husum Wind 2025, we welcomed our customers to the “40 Years of Nordex” anniversary event. The floating event venue was brimming with 380 participants – long-standing partners, customers, associates, and employees from Germany – who together reflected on four decades of innovation, reliability, and strong partnerships. The evening was filled with lively conversations, shared memories, and plenty of laughter as everyone celebrated this milestone together.
The MS Koi remained gently moored in the harbor while our guests took to the dance floor against a backdrop of typical North German weather and a maritime setting. The atmosphere on board combined warmth and nostalgia as everyone reflected on forty years of Nordex, along with excitement for the years ahead. Guests swapped stories, shared laughter, and soaked up the special ambiance that only a celebration on the water can create.
Karsten Brüggemann, Managing Director Germany, clearly had to raise his voice over the lively atmosphere that filled the ship from the very beginning. “What began as a small company has grown into a global player with over 57 GW of installed capacity worldwide – more than 8 GW in Germany alone. We are proud to be market leaders in Europe and here at home. But our success isn’t just measured in megawatts. It’s measured in trust – trust in our technology, trust in our Nordex team, and above all, trust in the partnerships we’ve built with you, our customers, over decades. What connects us goes beyond business. It’s a shared commitment to green energy, responsibility for future generations, and the vision of a sustainable future. Forty years of Nordex means forty years of change, progress, and collaboration – we’re confident the next forty will be just as exciting, with you by our side. Let’s celebrate tonight!”
Over the course of the evening, our guests shared many stories that brought Nordex’ journey and our collaborations to life. They reminisced about joint projects, real challenges, and especially their successes. Time and again, they praised the openness and honesty Nordex brings to every partnership, highlighting the strong bonds we’ve built. From the first-generation farmers to today’s global corporations, it doesn’t matter – trust and connection are what count.
Over the past four decades, we’ve gone with the current, against it, over water, under water, and on the water – but rarely through calm seas. Despite the occasional turbulence, Nordex has become synonymous with reliability and innovation – something clearly reflected in the many spontaneous statements our guests shared, expressing their appreciation:

These voices show just how deeply these relationships have grown and how highly we are valued as a partner. Guests praised our innovative spirit and our willingness to explore new paths together. The collaborative partnerships were seen as a key to success. The celebration on the MS Koi not only looked back on the last forty years – but kicked off the next forty.
We thank our customers, partners and employees for their long-standing loyalty and trust. the anniversary celebration in Husum once again highlighted the strength of our network and the tremendous potential that still lies ahead for us all.
