Finland: Nordex Group receives orders for 165 MW in spring 2021

In the last couple of weeks the Nordex Group has announced orders for Delta4000 turbines in Finland. The orders are for the 97 MW Nuolivaara, 28.5 MW Takanebacken and 39.9 MW Torvenkylä wind farms.

Nuolivaara wind farm will be built in Northern Finland, approximately 25 kilometres from Kemijärvi municipality. Nordex will supply 17 N163/5.X turbines for the project developer wpd. Due to the harsh winter conditions in Finnish Lapland, the turbines will be supplied in the cold-climate version and equipped with Advanced Anti-Icing System that prevents icing on the blades. The project installation will take place in 2022.

Takanebacken and Torvenkylä projects were ordered by the wind farm developer Energiequelle. Nordex will supply five turbines of N163/5.X model for Takanebacken and seven turbines of the same model for Torvenkylä project. Both wind farms will be built in the region of Ostrobothnia; Takanebacken in Maalahti near Vaasa and Torvenkylä in the city of Kalajoki. The installation of the projects is scheduled for the next year.

All orders include Nordex Premium Service contracts for the turbines, covering a period 15 years for Nuolivaara and 30 years for both Energiequelle projects.
