Nordex continues successful business development in Germany

Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE is continuingto win business with efficient turbines across Germany. In October of thisyear alone, three customers placed orders for new wind farms comprising atotal of 15 N100/2500 and N117/2400 wind turbines. Nordex gained newbusiness in Bavaria, which is characterised by lighter winds, with theN117/2400, a turbine particularly designed for such locations, while itsregular customer Enertrag opted for the moderate-wind turbine N100/2500 fora site in the Northern German state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.In summer 2014, Nordex will be installing eight N100/2500 turbines at the'Öttelin' wind farm for project developer and power station operatorEnertrag. At the same time, Nordex will work on the 'Maßbach-Volkershausen'and 'Insingen' projects in Bavaria, for which it will supply a total ofseven N117/2400 turbines, which are amongst the most efficient wind powersystems for light wind locations. A further factor is that these projectsare being partly funded via citizen participation models.'Our current strong success in Germany vindicates our product strategy. Atthe same time, we find that many of our regular customers are again optingfor Nordex.
