Hamburg, 2 April 2026. End of March, the Nordex Group received a new order in Türkiye from Balıkesir Elektrik Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim ve Satış A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Efor Holding. The contract comprises the supply and installation of 18 N175/6.X wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 120 MW for the R25-Balıkesir-2 WPP wind farm. The turbines will be delivered in the cold climate version and installed on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 119 meters. In addition to the supply and installation, the Nordex Group will provide Premium Service for a period of 10 years. The site is located around 35 kilometers northwest of the city of Balıkesir. The wind turbines will be installed at elevations ranging from 425 to 680 meters above sea level. Installation of the first turbine is scheduled for March 2027, with commissioning planned for August 2027. The project R25-Balıkesir-2 marks the third wind farm of the Efor Holding with the Nordex Group and represents an important milestone in the company’ renewable energy strategy. The first project Gelgit was signed in 2024, followed by the YEKA‑4 R24 Yellice Wind Power Plant contract in 2025. With the now signed YEKA‑5 Balıkesir‑2 project, Efor Holding is further expanding its portfolio under the Türkiye’s YEKA framework. The project complies with local content requirements, supporting domestic manufacturing and value creation in line with YEKA objectives. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Efor Holding Chairman of the Board İbrahim Akkuş emphasized the company’s long-term energy vision: “This project we are bringing to life represents a significant step in strengthening our energy portfolio. Our 120 MW wind power plant project in Balıkesir, developed under the YEKA RES-2025 tender, constitutes an important part of our sustainable growth strategy. In addition to our wind energy investments, our collaboration with Nordex, a leading global technology provider, enhances the efficiency and technological infrastructure of our projects. Through the wind power plant projects we are developing across various regions, we contribute to energy supply security while playing an active role in Türkiye’s green transition. The project to be implemented in Balıkesir is also expected to generate significant value in terms of local development and employment.” Efor Holding is a regular customer of the Nordex Group. Ender Ozatay, Vice President Region Türkiye and Mid East of the Nordex Group, says: “With the new project, we are continuing our trusted partnership with Efor Holding while supporting Türkiye’s ambitious renewable energy targets. The N175/6.X turbines are ideally suited for this site and combine high efficiency with cold climate performance. As market leader under operation in Türkiye with a share of around 34 percent since 2017, we are proud to contribute our technology, local manufacturing footprint and service expertise to another YEKA project and to the sustainable development of the country’s energy system.” About the Nordex Group Contact person for press: Contact for investor inquiries:
