DGAP-News: Nordex SE / Key word(s): Incoming Orders2015-09-21 / 08:55---------------------------------------------------------------------Hamburg, 21. September. Nordex has received the 15th order from its keyaccount, Falck Renewables. The manufacturer will supply ten N90/2500turbines for the Assel Valley wind farm near the south-west coast ofScotland. The supply schedule includes the turnkey construction of the windfarm, including the civil and electrical infrastructure works. FalckRenewables is an international project developer, which has now shown itsconfidence in Nordex as a partner for the 15th time. Ten of the jointprojects are situated in the UK the total capacity now contracted in the UKon a turnkey basis for Falck Renewables has increased to more than 260megawatts. Other projects already implemented from the partnership withthis developer are located in Italy and France. The Assel Valley wind farm is located to the south-east of Girvan in SouthAyrshire. The average wind speed at this site is around 9 m/s,corresponding to wind class IEC-1. The N90/2500 is a strong-wind turbine, especially designed for such conditions. In order to ensure that theturbines do not exceed the permissible tip height, Nordex is installingthem on 65-metre towers, which the company has developed especially for theUK wind market. Even with the lower tip height of 110 metres, this toughturbine with a rotor blade length of 45 metres and a rotor sweep of 6,362square metres obtains exceptional yields.Nordex has already started construction work on the Assel Valley wind farm, which is due to be handed over to the customer in October 2016. Followingcommissioning, Nordex will be in charge of servicing the turbines andassociated works for at least five years on the basis of a Premium servicecontract.About NordexAs one of the technological leaders in multi-megawatt wind power systems,Nordex is benefiting from the trend in favour of large-scale turbines.
