DGAP-News: Nordex SE / Key word(s): Incoming Orders01.12.2014 / 07:01---------------------------------------------------------------------Hamburg, 1 December 2014. wpd europe GmbH has again awarded Nordex SE acontract for the delivery and installation of twelve Generation Deltaturbines for a wind farm in Finland plus a 15-year premium servicecontract.Comprising twelve N117/3000 turbines, the "Jokela" wind farm is to beconstructed from mid 2015 close to the town of Kalajoki in western Finland,where annual average wind speeds of approx. 7.8 metres per second aremeasured. The N117/3000 turbines have been specially designed for suchmedium wind speeds. In view of the difficult weather conditions prevailingat the site, cold-climate versions of the turbine will be installed. With ahub height of 141 metres and an installed nominal output of three megawattsper turbine, the 36 MW wind farm will generate the highest possibleelectricity yield. Annual production output of 119 GWh has been forecast."Jokela" is wpd's second project in Finland with Nordex. In early 2014 ithad placed an order with Nordex for eleven N117/3000 turbines for the"Mäkikangas" wind farm.
