Dr. Jürgen Zeschky (51) appointed new CEO of Nordex SE
Hamburg, 4 November 2011. Dr. Jürgen Zeschky (51) will succeed Thomas Richterich as chief executive officer of Nordex SE (ISIN: DE000A0D6554). He will be commencing his duties on 1 April 2012 at the latest. An earlier starting date may be possible depending on the outcome of talks for the early termination of his contract with his current employer, Voith GmbH.
With a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering, Zeschky has been head of the industrial division of Voith Turbo in Heidenheim since 2003, a business segment which currently has revenues of around EUR 610 million and some 2,100 employees. Prior to this, he held a management position at a Siemens subsidiary in the United States.
“Dr. Zeschky has exactly the right skills and expertise needed for managing the Nordex Group. He is a skilled engineer with superb expertise in drive technology and knowledge of power plant engineering. In addition, he is an internationally experienced executive,” says Uwe Lüders, chairman of Nordex SE’s supervisory board.
The vacancy in Nordex’s top-level management arose when the long-standing CEO Thomas Richterich declared that he would not be renewing his contract again in summer 2012.
