Nordex: another N100/2500 order from Turkey
Eksim Group plans a third wind farm with Nordex turbines
Hamburg, 29 August 2011. Nordex has received the next order from the Eksim Yatirim Group. The Eksim Group invests in wind and hydroelectric power in Turkey through its subsidiary Iltek Iletisim and is now planning the third wind farm with Nordex N100/2500 turbines. The “Amasya” project involves a total of 16 machines, which the wind turbine manufacturer will be supplying as of October 2011. In addition, Eksim has signed a Premium Service Agreement for nine years.
The 40-megawatt “Amasya” wind farm is to be set up in the North of Turkey, near the city of the same name. After completion in the early summer of 2012 it is to provide an annual yield of around 120 gigawatt hours.
The first project Nordex connected to the grid for Eksim was “Susurluk” with 18 wind turbines. Eksim has several licences for wind projects. “Susurluk” was the first wind farm from this portfolio to be built. Installation work started in December 2010 and in February 2011, after a very short time, the turbines went on grid. The second project in which Eksim and Nordex are working together is called “Tokat”. The 16 machines are currently being installed. Work is due to be completed at the end of the year.
