Nordex secures order for Generation Delta in theNetherlands: The company will be installing the Delfzijl-Noord wind farmfor its customer Eneco Wind BV from autumn 2014. A total of 19 strong-windN100/3300 turbines are to be connected to the grid latest in March 2015,supplying 55,000 households with green electricity. The order, which wasbooked in the 1st quarter of 2014, also comprises a premium servicecontract covering a period of fifteen years, under which Nordex will beestablishing a service point close to the wind farm in Delfzijl.With a total output of 62.7 megawatts, Delfzijl-Noord will be built 1.5kilometres from the town Delfzijl in the North-East of the Netherlands. Thesite is near the coast on the Schermdijk and the Pier van Oterdum, wherewind conditions are rough, thus necessitating efficient and powerfulturbines. The Nordex N100/3300 Generation Delta turbine with a nominaloutput of 3.3 megawatt and a 100 metres rotor fit the challengingconditions well. If needed, the product can be run in sound-optimisedcycles so as to interfere as little as possible with the environment andclose-by dwellings."We are pleased that construction works now started at the Delfzijl-Noordwind farm and that our strong-wind turbines N100/3300 of the GenerationDelta soon will show their high performance at this site.
