DGAP-News: Nordex SE / Key word(s): Market Report31.01.2014 / 11:04---------------------------------------------------------------------New installations up sharply to some 251 MW Hamburg, 31 January 2014. 'We were fully satisfied with our business inGermany last year,' said Nordex CEO Jürgen Zeschky, presenting thecompany's figures for new wind turbine installations in Germany. In 2013,Nordex achieved a roughly 165 percent increase in new installations here. With a full-year output of 251 megawatts (MW), the Northern Germany-basedcompany was able to double its market share in this country to 8.4 percentagainst the backdrop of an expanding market in which industry-wide onshoreinstallations rose by a double-digit rate to almost 3,000 MW.This success was underpinned by the performance of the light-wind turbineN117/2400, which generated 75 percent of installation volume. ExplainsJürgen Zeschky: 'The N117/2400 is generating good sales figures, which arecontinuing to climb. With is high efficiency, we are able to rendernumerous light-wind locations economically viable and thus satisfy theGerman federal government's new requirements. What is more, we areregistering interest in wind turbines of this type in more and more marketsbeyond Germany.' Thus, the Group's global installation volume surged byover 36 per cent last year, with the N117/2400 accounting for a good oneout of five turbines installed.Nordex expects to record growing installation numbers in its domesticmarket in 2014. 'We have been anticipating this trend for quite some timenow as uncertainty surrounding future tariff structures in Germany istriggering pull-forward effects,' says Zeschky. With its large proportionof export business and strong position in numerous international growthmarkets, the group sees itself well positioned to weather short-termfluctuation in 2015 in Germany. Looking further into the future, the Germanfederal government is planning a stable course for growth in inexpensiveelectricity from onshore wind turbines, with new capacity of a good 2,500MW to be installed each year.About NordexAs one of the technological leaders in multi-megawatt wind power systems,Nordex is benefiting from the trend in favour of large-scale turbines.
