Testing Capacities

PUERTOLLANO RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Our Research & Development Center in Puertollano, Spain, is equipped with materials characterization and electrochemical laboratory technology to evaluate materials and components for alkaline electrolysis systems. In our on-site prototype testing, Nordex Electrolyzers S.L. studies and evaluates different geometries, designs and configurations of these materials and components in cells and short stacks. The assembly of prototype components up to 50 kW and stack tests up to 80 kW are carried out in our local prototype laboratory and alkaline electrolysis test bench.
LUMBIER HYDROGEN TEST BENCH
The megawatt-scale electrolyzer testing facility, with a capacity of 0.5-2.5 MW, in Lumbier, Spain, is a dedicated space for testing the latest prototypes developed by Nordex Electrolyzers S.L. The facility offers end-to-end services, including assembly, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance, all carried out by Nordex Electrolyzers. This facility is a key demonstrative installation for continuous product learning, allowing Nordex Electrolyzers S.L. to stay at the forefront of the industry and provide cutting-edge technology to its customers.

Research & Development Projects
Nordex Electrolyzers S.L. has been actively participating in Research & Development projects funded by the European Commission and the Government of Navarra. These projects aim to develop new technologies and solutions for the production of green hydrogen, which is a key element in the transition towards a more sustainable and decarbonized energy system. Nordex Electrolyzers S.L. has been contributing to these projects with its expertise in the design and manufacturing of high-performance electrolyzers.
