The project

The goal of the INNOAEM project is to build a cost-effective 5 kW anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyzer with novel components characterized by high performance and stability. The project will develop a prototype AEM electrolyzer that will improve the operating results achieved so far with conventional alkaline electrolysis technology. The Project is funded by the Second call for the “Incentive Program 4: Challenges in Basic-Fundamental Research, Innovative Pilots, and Training in Key Enabling Technologies”, within the incentive programs for the innovative and knowledge value chain of renewable hydrogen, under the PRTR framework, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU. The project partners are FLUBETECH, Talleres ARANIA, and Nordex Electrolyzers. Nordex has received a grant of €844,116. The project will run from 2024 to 2027. The INNOAEM file number is PR-H2CVA-L4-C2-2023-000065.
