Hamburg, 9 February 2023<\/b>. The Nordex Group has received an order for 255 MW for a wind farm in Estonia from Enefit Green, one of the leading producers of renewable energy in the Baltic region. The Nordex Group is to supply 38 N163\/6.X turbines for the Sopi I, Sopi II and Tootsi wind farms.<\/p>\n

The order also includes a Premium Service agreement for service and maintenance of the turbines for a period of 30 years. The turbines are scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2024.<\/p>\n

End of 2022, the Nordex Group was successful in a public tender and awarded the order by Enefit Green. Sopi I, Sopi II and Tootsi are being built in the municipality of Nord P\u00e4rnu. With a capacity of 255 MW, the Sopi-Tootsi wind farm cluster with N163\/6.X turbines will be the most powerful wind project in the Baltic states to date. Projected annual electricity production stands at some 700 GWh for approx. 200,000 households.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the same time the order is a huge demonstration of confidence in the joint partnership between our two companies.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

The Nordex Group last installed a wind farm with 18 MW in Estonia in 2004. This new order means that the Group can resume its presence in the country and increase it many times over.<\/p>\n

Enefit Green AS – a profile<\/b>
\nEnefit Green is a company for renewable energy belonging to the Eesti Energia Group, which owns altogether 22 wind farms in four markets \u2013 Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland \u2013 as well as 38 solar power plants, four CHP plants, a pellet plant and a hydroelectric power plant. The company currently has three wind farms under construction \u2013 Akmene and Silale 2 in Lithuania and Tolpanvaara in Finland. Since 21 October 2021 the company’s shares have been listed on the Nasdaq Tallin Stock Exchange and have attracted more than 60,000 private investors.<\/p>\n

\nThe Group has installed more than 41 GW of wind energy capacity in over 40 markets and in 2021 generated revenues of EUR 5.4 billion. The company currently employs a workforce of approx. 9,000. The joint manufacturing capacity includes factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the United States, India and Mexico. The product portfolio is focused on onshore turbines in the 4 to 6.X MW class, which are tailor-made for the market requirements of countries with limited space and regions with limited grid capacity.<\/p>\n
