Team Nordex believes the most powerful innovations are built on proven success. That is why our platform design philosophy is evolutionary by design, combining decades of engineering expertise, operational data, and real-world experience with the technologies of tomorrow.

Rather than starting from scratch, we continuously enhance and refine what has already been proven in the field. This approach enables us to bring new innovations to market faster, reduce risk for our customers, and deliver solutions that combine cutting-edge performance with trusted reliability.

By building on a strong technology foundation, Nordex creates future-ready turbines designed to maximize value throughout their lifecycle. The result is a smarter path to innovation, giving our customers the confidence to invest in solutions that are not only advanced, but also built to perform reliably for years to come.

SCALING FLEXIBILITY. MAXIMIZING YIELD.

The Delta4000 platform marked a major step forward in flexibility, efficiency and project adaptability. With the introduction of the N149/4.0-4.5, the Nordex Group became the first manufacturer to make flexible rated power a core platform principle, enabling turbines to adapt to site-specific wind conditions, grid requirements and noise constraints while maximizing overall project performance. At a time of rapid technological advancement in the 4 MW + segment, the Delta4000 set new standards for energy production and operational flexibility.

By allowing different rated power configurations within a single wind farm, the platform enables customers to unlock the full potential of every turbine location and optimize overall energy yield.
Today, Delta4000 remains the cornerstone of the Nordex Group’s installed fleet, with more than 29 GW operating worldwide. Beyond its commercial success, the Delta4000 established a robust and proven technology foundation for continuous innovation.

LAYING THE GROUNDWORK FOR CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT.

The Delta platform marked a defining milestone in the evolution of Nordex Group technology. Developed at a time when the wind industry was increasingly focused on reducing the cost of energy, it established Nordex Group’s successful 3 MW product class and introduced technologies that significantly increased energy yield while improving overall project economics. By combining larger rotor diameters, optimized power ratings and increased hub heights, the platform enabled customers to unlock greater value from a wide range of site conditions.

The platform introduced core design principles that remain central to the Nordex portfolio today: scalability, reliability and continuous development. These principles enabled future Nordex turbines to build on proven technology rather than start from scratch, forming a direct line of evolution from Delta to Delta4000.
Until today, Team Nordex continues to manufacture Delta turbine variants for customers around the world, demonstrating the platform’s enduring relevance, reliability and performance.
