The consortium formed by the technology center CENER (National Renewable Energy Center) and the companies Nordex Group, Nabrawind and MELETEA has announced that its joint research project SEnDA is moving into the final validation phase for technologies aimed at extending the operational lifespan of wind farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project has developed and validated intelligent solutions for control, monitoring and at height servicing, designed for the next generation of high-power onshore wind turbines, capable of reaching hub heights of up to 200 meters. These technologies seek to reduce the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and facilitate the deployment of large turbines in onshore wind farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project consortium integrates complementary industrial and technological capabilities, reinforcing R&D, innovation and market transfer of new wind energy design, diagnostic and operational tools. Its composition\u2014CENER, Nordex Group, Nabrawind and the SME MELETEA (a specialist in Finite Element Method computation)\u2014ensures a multidisciplinary approach aligned with wind energy industry needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SEnDA\u2019s main achievements include developing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New monitoring and control strategies for very tall turbines<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Vibration mitigation measures and tools to improve safety and load management during assembly<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Advanced structural health monitoring solutions for critical wind power system components<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Through these advances, the SEnDA project will help strengthen Navarre\u2019s wind energy value chain, leading to the generation of applied knowledge in areas related to innovation, and new products, and by extension, the consolidation of skilled jobs in the region\u2019s companies and technology centers. This aligns with the Navarra Green ecological transition strategy, promoted by the Government of Navarre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
