Hamburg, 1 October 2025. The Nordex Group has received the internationally recognized Type Certificate according to IECRE for the N175\/6.X turbine from T\u00dcV S\u00dcD three months ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the Type Certificate, the independent certification body T\u00dcV S\u00dcD confirms that the theoretical designs match the values measured in the field. Among other things, the performance, mechanical loads, and the lifespan of the turbine and rotor blades were tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Janina Springborn, Senior Project Manager Certification at Nordex Group, said: \u201cThe Type Certificate is a key proof of the technical conformity of our turbine. It confirms that the N175\/6.X meets all safety-related and performance requirements according to international standards \u2014 based on extensive testing and field measurements. We conducted these on the first N175\/6.X, which we installed in Schleswig-Holstein in 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Type certification according to IECRE is a crucial step for the international marketing of wind energy turbines. It is considered a prerequisite for tenders and project approvals worldwide and builds confidence among project developers and operators. The basis for the certification is IECRE OD 501, which defines the requirements and procedures for assessing and confirming compliance with international IEC standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since its market launch, Nordex Group has already received orders for over two gigawatts for projects with the N175\/6.X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
