WindEurope is the industry association, representing and advocating the interests of the whole wind industry sector in Europe. His Chairmanship will last 18 month and comes at a crucial time for our industry, when Europe is accelerating its Energy Transformation. During the term it is expected that important regulatory packages will be finalized and passed. Among these packages is the new Renewables Directive that increases the EUs renewable target to 42% by 2030 and that provides regulation to ease spatial planning and permitting to accelerate project development. Moreover, industry policy, focusing on the supply chain and the resilience of the EU\u2019s economy will become central, as Commission President Ursula von der Leyen outlined in her State of the Union address.
