Nordex Group\u2019s local project management team is working hard to get new wind farms up and running in the Nordic region. Last week, a milestone was reached at the Ljungbyholm construction site where the first kilowatt hour on each turbine was produced. The erection works of the turbines were successfully completed in the end of February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ljungbyholm wind farm is located outside of Kalmar municipality, in the southeast of Sweden, and consists of 12 Nordex turbines ordered by the customer OX2. The turbines at Ljungbyholm are of the model N149\/4.0-4.5 from Delta4000 series and they are built with 125-meter towers and 75-meter blades. The yearly energy production from the wind farm will be 150 GWh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main installation period of the project started mid-January and was completed in 35 days. During the construction of the wind farm there were around 100 people working at the site on a daily basis. The weather was unprecedented with minus 15 Celsius degrees and an exceptionally big amount of snow compared to usual averages of the area. Despite the challenging conditions, the site team carried on successfully and is now working on commissioning the turbines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
