N117/2400
THE N117/2400
BESTSELLER IN THE 2 MW+ Class
At a glance
BEST SELLING 2MW+ TURBINE
ACHIEVES OVER 3,500 FULL-LOAD HOURS
TOP YIELDS FOR LOW WIND SITES
EFFICIENCY IN THE 2MW CLASS
CLOSER TO RESIDENTIAL AREAS
OPTIMUM PLACEMENT IN EACH WIND FARM
Light wind, strong yields

To make IEC III locations economically viable, project operators need a turbine that can exploit even light winds to maximum effect. With a rotor sweep of 10,715 square meters, the N117/2400 is extremely efficient. And with a capacity factor of 40 percent, the N117/2400 is a very profitable solution for light-wind locations.

GENERATION GAMMA

The N117/2400 of the Gamma Generation combines modern turbine technology with know-how and experience from two decades of operation to meet the requirements of the market. In 2000, Nordex installed the first 2.5 MW series turbine in the world.
With a rotor sweep of 10,715 square meters, the N117/2400 is extremely efficient. The maximum acoustic power level is 102 decibels (with serrations), which means the machine can be installed nearer to residential areas and that a wind farm can be optimally laid out in the available space. With a capacity factor of 40 percent, the N117/2400 is one of the most profitable solutions for low-wind locations.
